Services

  • Individual Psychotherapy

I provide individual therapy services to adolescents and adults aged 16 and older. Meetings generally take place weekly or every other week, with an option to reduce session frequency as we near the end of our work.

  • Time-Limited Psychotherapy

Time-limited therapy is an agreement to work together for a specific period of time or a set number of sessions. This model is helpful for clients who thrive with structure, would like to learn specific skills, or would benefit from completing an evidence-based therapy protocol (such as CBT-I, CPT, or PE). This is also a good option for clients who would like to complete adjunctive EMDR alongside regular ongoing talk therapy.

  • Process-Based Psychotherapy

Process-based therapy is flexible, open-ended, and attuned to the client’s evolving self and needs. This approach addresses the client’s entire psychological system rather than focusing on just one problem. We may incorporate skill-building, but we can also engage in experiential practice, cultivate meaning and fulfillment, and attend to physical well-being, sociocultural factors, and relationship dynamics.

  • Mental Health Check-Up

I provide mental health “check-ups” to assess psychological well-being, along with specific recommendations for addressing challenges and improving quality of life. Check-ups generally take place over one to two sessions and are offered annually, every six months, or on an as-needed basis.

  • Supervision & Consultation

I offer clinical supervision to mental health workers in training. I am also available for consultation about psychology and mental health topics.

Groups I often work with:

  • LGBTQ+ Communities

  • Veterans & First Responders

  • Polyamorous & Non-Monogamous Individuals

  • Neurodivergent Individuals

  • Black, Latinx, & Asian Communities

  • Caregivers & Service Workers

  • New Parents

  • Students & Young Professionals

My therapeutic stance:

  • Collaborative

Therapy is a dynamic process, in which therapist and client each bring important contributions. I can offer skills, knowledge, and perspective to improve psychological wellbeing; and you are the expert on yourself, including your own experiences, challenges, and priorities. We will work together to co-create our treatment plan, and we will check in regularly about what is and isn’t helpful so that we can ensure the process of therapy is worthwhile.

  • Culturally Humble

I am personally and professionally committed to anti-oppressive practices. Critical consciousness is a vital framework that should inform psychological assessment and treatment. I pledge to acknowledge systems of privilege and marginalization, honor differences in our identities/group memberships, affirm your lived experiences, and engage in regular training and reflection to reduce bias and harm in the process of therapy.

  • Doing What Works

My clinical approach is both science-informed and flexible. We will decide together on the right balance of session structure, skill-building, and processing. I tend to focus on present moment connection, values, and self-compassion as avenues for increasing emotional resilience, intentional action, and meaningful living. We may review new skills in these areas so that you can respond effectively when difficult thoughts, emotions, and situations show up.

My approach draws from these therapy modalities:

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

  • Trauma-Focused Treatments (EMDR, PE, CPT)

  • Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT, CBT-I)

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

  • Behavioral Activation (BA)

  • Motivational Interviewing (MI)

  • Compassion Focused Therapy

  • Person-Centered Therapy
